Radio Camp

The WGMU Summer Radio Camp is held every July at the WGMU Studios in the Johnson Center at the Fairfax campus.

There are two one week sessions open to students in grades six through twelve.  Students learn basic on-air radio broadcasting skills, including how to produce a live music show, commercials and news announcements, in our professional studios.  Students also get a behind the scenes look at commercial radio through a field trip to a local radio station.

The camp has been held every summer since 1996.  It is a great opportunity for youngsters to develop broadcasting skills in a fun environment!
