Jeff Draco at Deep Dive Live
Go To This Because We Asked So Nicely – A Concert Preview
By Amal Qazi
Jeff Draco is an indie pop artist from Maryland accompanied by a band composed of Josh Poggioli , George Turner, and Owen Greene. With his earliest release in 2018, debut album Paradise, and recent single releases “Never Gonna Be The Same” and “Letters” in 2023, his dreamy, beachy sound fits right in with defining artists of this generation like No Vacation and Beach Fossils.
Frankly, who doesn’t love a good indie artist? I don’t think indie pop will ever lose its charm, and Jeff Draco knows who he is within that. Mentioning to Medium that he would love to sit down with indie legend Mac DeMarco his influences are clear and not lost on listeners. When seeing an artist that you don’t know live for the first time it’s always interesting seeing how people respond to the music and I can confidently say the crowd loved him. Not a single person wasn’t dancing (even if it was just bobbing up and down to the beat) and after the show people were eager to chat with him back at the merch stand, which goes to show he connected to a lot of new fans that night. Deep Dive Live will be a great opportunity not only to see Jeff Draco, but getting a chance to see other local acts that you could connect with too. Viva local music!
