The WGMU Summer Radio Camp is held every July at the WGMU Studios in the Johnson Center at the Fairfax campus.
There are two one-week sessions open to students in grades six through twelve. Students learn basic on-air radio broadcasting skills, including how to produce a live music show, commercials, and news announcements, in our professional studios. Students also get a behind-the-scenes look at commercial radio through a field trip to a local radio station.
The camp has been held every summer since 1996. It is a great opportunity for youngsters to develop broadcasting skills in a fun environment!
