The Plugs, heard exclusively on WGMU Radio, has won the Spring 2016 RadioStar Award for Best Music Show, presented by RadioFlag! Congratulations! The winners in the program are chosen based on effort to grow audience, connect with listeners, broadcast with quality sound, and showcase an innovative format with original content.
The Plugs is a sports radio talk show that has been on WGMU since Fall 2015. It’s hosted by Becker Alshowk, Amro Tashman, and Chris Tashman. They cover professional sports issues and game highlights from the NBA, NFL, and several soccer leagues. The show also features music from many different genres and eras during breaks in sports content. Notable guests in the past include Charley Casserly (Former NFL GM) and Renaldo Wynn (Former Redskins Player).
