We caught up with Chris to discuss the moves the Lakers & Clippers made, or didn’t make, in the Summer 2016 Offseason. We started with the Lakers inability to attract marquee free agents this summer, who struck out in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, not even earning a meeting with him. We then talked about if the ‘Kobe mystique’ is still haunting the franchise, something Demar Derozan, an LA native, talked about was a reason why he turned down the ‘Purple & Gold’ to re-sign with the Raptors. We finally touched on the Clippers being quiet this offseason, although Kevin Durant said he was ‘blown away’ from his pitch meeting with them.
