Position Description: Serves as an advisor for the student-run campus radio station. Also, I am a term Instructor in the Department of Communication.
What you love about working at WGMU: My chance to teach a skill – radio – that can make a difference in the lives of people. I enjoy working with talented, hard-working students who love WGMU and Mason.
Hobbies: Running 5K and 10K races, bowling, volunteering for Warren County High School (my alma mater) athletics.
Favorite Band/Artist: The Beatles, The Eagles. Their songs represent some of the best lyrics of all time.

Host of: Wadio Show
Position Description: The General Manager serves as the student leader for WGMU and consults with the faculty advisor on the overall station direction and management. Additionally, the GM supervises all Executive Staff members and is responsible for the totality of WGMU.
What I love about WGMU: Made my love for music something I could do as a job & met all my cool amazing awesome friends through it <3
Hobbies: Canva… thrifting & collecting CDs also (I have a spending problem)

Program Director
Emma Redden
Year: Senior
Major: Communications
Host of: The Retro Rewind
Position Description: Oversees the live-on-air studio and the practice studio. They are in charge of creating the schedules for the On-Air studio, Practice Studio, and Basketball Broadcasting, and are the primary trainer of broadcasters. With broadcasters, they help oversee the transition from the Practice Studio to the On-Air Studio.
What I love about WGMU: I love being able to connect with people through music. Music has always been such a significant part of my life, so it’s amazing to work with fellow music lovers. Not only to I get to share music I love on my show, but I also get to hear the music my fellow DJs love.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, D.I.Y crafts, Dungeons & Dragons, thrifting

Position Description: The Marketing Director is in charge of any design needs the station has (flyers, posts, etc.) and finding ways to promote the station across and beyond campus.

Abigail Nixon

Major: Communications (Media Production and Criticism)
Position Description: Manages and organizes the on-air and practice-studio schedule, aiding the Program Director with scheduling shows, practice sessions, and working around basketball broadcasts. Acts as a liaison between WGMU, students interested in the radio who complete the Involved Form, and the volunteers/DJs.
What you love about WGMU: I love having new experiences with WGMU and blasting my favorite songs in the studio!

Lana El-khatib
Year: Junior
Major: Criminology w/ a history minor
Position Description: Helps publish articles on the Music Review Board, gathers music from promotional agencies and documents them on Discogs, and helps the Music Director with any other tasks such as communicating with record labels and venue representatives.
What you love about WGMU: Meeting super cool people and listening to good music on-air!
