bbno$ at The Anthem
Go To This Because We Asked So Nicely – A Concert Preview
By Allison Thoma
Do you watch YouTube videos at dinner? Do you log too many hours of screen time every day? If so, you may have heard of bbno$ (phonetically pronounced as baby no money). For those who have never heard of him, bbno$ is a rapper from Canada who grew in popularity after collaborations with artists like Yung Gravy and internet creators like Smosh. His song “Lalala,” in collaboration with artist Y2K, gained popularity online in 2019 through Instagram and TikTok, as well as less traditional advertising through Tinder and Craigslist, and skyrocketed his career into internet popularity.
bbno$ has gained a lot of attention through his online presence. On Dec. 12, 2025, bbno$, along with Ironmouse and Vanillamace, held an in-game concert in the popular video game PEAK. He is also very active on his social media platforms, advertising his music while also feeding into trends. Much of the subject matter of his music covers topics geared toward Gen-Z humor and internet culture, with references to popular Vines, TikTok trends and memes that become social media earworms (catchy songs that stay in your head).
His current tour, The Internet Explorer Tour, is coming to Washington, D.C. on March 12! With support from Jungle Bobby, he will be playing at The Anthem at 8 p.m. The nearest metro stations are the Smithsonian Station or L’Enfant, both easily accessible for George Mason students via the orange or red line, with bus options that can get you closer to the venue.
