Minnesotan Anna Graves is coming to Washington, D.C. on Sept. 15, celebrating her newest album, America’s Greatest Burnout, at Pearl Street Warehouse. Graves released the intimate Americana album just a few weeks ago, on Aug. 21, so attendees will be among the first groups of people to hear the unflinchingly honest folk masterpiece.

“There ain’t a sight of a star in the sky that’s leadin’ me to the way back home,” Graves sings in the album’s namesake song.

The album’s title is fitting for the collection about finding your way back home and figuring out who you are while ambitiously chasing a career. Graves moved to Nashville and Los Angeles for her music before returning home to Minnesota, inspiring her recent debut album. “Burn On,” one of the most unfiltered and vulnerable songs from her debut, Graves wrote in high school and rediscovered on an old computer. She reimagined it for the album, singing about the fear of death, rebellion and young love, mixing teenage angst and childlike wonder with the reckoning of adulthood.

Since she began releasing music in 2023, she has gained millions of streams globally, with songs such as “Fly” and “Made To Love Someone” both amassing over 5 million streams each on Spotify. “Hollow Bones,” released with America’s Greatest Burnout, has already gained almost 3 million streams, and boasts over 15,000 TikToks with the song.

With Pearl Street Warehouse’s cozy atmosphere, her storytelling will feel even more personal, with the ability to connect to audience members in all different times of life.
