Peter McPoland is currently touring his latest album, Big Lucky, released in September 2025. On Tuesday, Feb. 24, McPoland will be at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. If you love a weird vibe and feel like your life is a bit of a mess, this just might be the show for you. Songs like “Sh*t Show” and “Digital Silence” gained popularity for being relatable to crowds who have found life messy and/or frustrating as of late. Other songs of his, like “Romeo & Juliet,” hit for the sappy, happier crowds.
McPoland began releasing music in the late 2010s, but did not begin to pick up traction until posting an acoustic version of his song “Romeo & Juliet” on TikTok in 2021. In 2022, McPoland opened for Twenty One Pilots on their Icy Tour. In 2024, he opened for Imagine Dragons on the Loom World Tour. Now, he celebrates Big Lucky, his most recent album and the namesake of his headlining tour. The album involved a lot of hands-on work from McPoland himself, including production, engineering, performance and the hand-painted album cover art.
