Leith Ross at The Howard Theatre
Go To This Because We Asked So Nicely – A Concert Preview
By Alexandra Henriques
Leith Ross takes on The Howard Theatre tonight, November 5th, joined by singer-songwriter Emma Harner. Ross, who blew up with their song “We’ll Never Have Sex,” is best classified as an indie-folk artist who explores relationships, identity, nostalgia and grief through their music. The tour celebrates their recent album, I Can See The Future, released in September of this year with Republic Records. Before I Can See The Future, Ross released Motherwell, which started as a final project for their degree, and To Learn in 2023.
Joining Ross is Emma Harner, who describes herself as a “math folk” artist from Nebraska. She has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across her social media accounts through her cover, snippet and demo videos. Her voice is so evocative and soulful, so she is sure to be incredible live. Additionally, her compositions are unlike any other.
The Howard Theatre is accessible on WMATA’s Green Line via the Shaw-Howard Metro Stop. The 1,200-person capacity venue is a perfect spot for the intimate concert that tonight’s show will be.
