Cruz Beckham and The Breakers at The Atlantis

Most musicians do not have all these advantages when they start out, but Cruz does. Being the son of Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, he comes from pop royalty. Being the son of Victoria and David Beckham, he has remarkable good looks. Being their son also means that he has access to their financial backing. None of which is a bad start.
But it ain’t going to help a bit if he cannot play. Fans have the real power, not wealth, nor good looks, nor fame.
The first song that I listened to, “Wear and Tear,” is remarkably like the Beatles’ “If I Needed Someone.” I am not saying Cruz is excellent just because he reminds me of the Beatles, but it is an indication that he might be on the right track.
The music video for “Optics” indicates what I am talking about with adequate financial backing. No shortage of sound treatment or expensive microphones in this video. One wonders whose studio it is. Is it his, his mom’s, or rented? (My guess is not rented.)
“For Your Love” is also Beatles-like, but lacks the vocal range demonstrated in his other work. “I’m Baby for You” is just Cruz and his guitar and shows talent.
My favorite was “Waste My Pain.” The visual on this video was somewhat disturbing, however, featuring an unbound straitjacket.
The question really becomes whether someone who has been producing music for only ten months can hold down an entire show. I do not know the answer, but I am eager to find out.
The Atlantis does not have nearby parking. The closest lot is at Whole Foods, two blocks away. The metro is not specifically close either. The best way to go is by ride share.
ADA accommodations can be obtained by calling at least 24 hours in advance. This means that you are seated on a bar stool in a section on the left side of the hall. Visuals are good from this section.
At The Atlantis, ice water is free, and you pour it yourself.
