This June, the scene’s newest punk sensation, Amyl and The Sniffers, is coming to The Anthem in Washington, D.C. Revitalizing the hardcore genre, Amy Taylor (lead vocals) brings high-energy performances alongside unapologetic lyrics. Backed by The Sniffers (Declan Martens, Gus Romer and Bryce Wilson), D.C. is preparing to be hit by mosh pits and head bangers alike to see Amyl and The Sniffers on their 2026 North American Tour! 

With three studio albums already released, they are showing no signs of stopping. Their newest album, Cartoon Darkness, released in 2024, depicts a more vulnerable side to Amy. The song “Big Dreams” acts like a type of anthem for those who are reaching for something greater, evoking the feelings of a deep need to keep pushing no matter what. “U Should Not Be Doing That,” the 10th song on the album, really hits home with Amy’s punchy vocals and relentless spirit. The song is a big middle finger to the stuffy, puffed collars of those who judge a girl screaming in a tiny bikini. Even the voice in her own head might be saying it, but no matter what, she is making it clear that she is not going anywhere.
